Just spotted the guy on Ebay - description of his auction for fiat 126 EL is just copied from my auction for a 1991 red one I have sold recently...!  :rant:
Does anybody know this guy? He also has a syrena made by FSO but it doesnt look like it is here already despite the description.
Please advice, I suppose he is Polish as English woudn't copy my description - would they? No need for someones description igf you can write yours one in better english :)
If anybody know anything please let me know.

I have not seen the add but if it is a clone of your add then beware because the con merchants are well known for doing a cut & paste job on adds for cars that have been advertised. I have have seen on various forums a number of guys that have been surprised to see their own car up for sale [-/

I believe the car you're refering to is ebay item no. 250548606508.

Noticed a set of clear BIS lenses for £10, item 110470224928. A BIS factory manual item 290381184044 & a genuine sunroof 230411698146.

 So long as he is not trying to sell your car again and the description is an accurate potrayal of what he is selling then i wouldn't be too worried, copying descriptions is common practise on ebay. I would take it as a compliment that he found your description a good one!  :)

I suppose now that Poland is part of the EU should make it simpler to register/convert to UK plates. Since it is a LHD version, do one need to install those headlamp deflector stickers permanently? Will it affect the insurance cost being LHD? Interesting car.

 Yes, I've just been on the Citroen BX forum and thers a chap om there who is paying very high insurance because his car is left hand drive???

the deflector stickers are commonly used to obtain an mot then removed, so i believe...

normally theres a £25 extra cost on the insurance if it is left hand drive, well thats how my insurers work...

I once had a guy copy an advert of mine for an Audi I was selling.

He altered a little bit of the wording (for the differences to his car) but even used my pictures.

I sent him a polite email telling him it was impolite to use my advert and especially my pictures ( my partner, house and other car were all in the pictures) and that he should have at least asked permission first.

He sent back an arsey mail saying he hadn't done anything wrong and his was actually a lot better condition than mine.
I reported him and his add got pulled.


Why if his car was better would he have used someonelses info?

Might be a scammer, the car may not have existed and once one pays the 'deposit' they disappear ?

My mate was trying to seel his aircraft the other month and got messed about so much that I can understand why people ask for a deposit when the auction ends.
