gearbox wanted

Hello fellow members,i need a gearbox for my sick 500.A 126 box will do as long as its in working order and reasonably local to DERBY/LEICS/NOTTS areas and i can collect quickly.

what!!!! we cant let our beloved 126 boxes go to an inferior and blobbier car! shame on you, I dunno imagine if I posted that I wanted a 500 engine to put into a 126 on the 500 forums eh.... outrage thats what this is, 126 parts are for 126s only... I bl**dy hate 500s, pesky little rotten things they are! rant over.....
no I dont have a spare box! If I did it would be £50 to a 126 owner and £5000 for a 500.

Don't know if there is any history or something?
But 500 owners are very welcome to use this forum, unlike some other forums who just concentrate on one model?
And don't forget the 500 is an ancestor of the 126 model!

Did have a 500 once, not for long though, didnt like the fact the top of the screen is so low compared to the superior 126!

I can just about cope with the cover girl,(lovely girl,but not sure on that direction)and i resisted the temptation to reply to the anti 4x4/large american car gas guzzler comments posted before, (i own a 3.9 rangy and 360 ci hotrod) but open inter car slagging?? I'l be off this site before you know it!

 

Oh,where do you think most if not all of the aircooled tuning parts are from? dare i say 500 tuners? cant wait for my 500/126 suspension to come from italy :cool:

Dave just kidding about the 500, i own a 72 500F, i love them!!! i was just continuing the joke!

yes your right, we are lucky to have 500 tuners/parts!! and we will help any 500 owner out, like i said before, we want them both on the road, thats why we have a 500 section on our forum!!!

As for the large gas guzzling slurs, that was also a joke. Im quite into landrovers and range rovers.(for rough terrain/rural areas, not inner city areas such as London) We have a few members who own big 4x4 america cars on here.

not sure what you mean about the nationalities part you said??

where did you order your suspension from? which company Dave?

hey ho Chris,what i meant was that the finer points of english humour may be lost on our forign 500/126'rs that surf in...........
4x4's in london? i hear the pavements are very high there :wink: we are mobbed with big cars here,40mph limit and we are over run with porches and ferraris,the super charged new range rover sport seems to be weapon of choice for the school run now!!!,lots of moans in the local paper,but its a free world last time i checked?? petrols cheap,when you compare it to beer???and,wether i use my 126 or my ranger,i still need a parking space,only my bikes are better,even 126's get caught in traffic jams :twisted:.
