Ebay Bargain

  Picked up a nice little eBay bargain yesterday , Cinque disc brake calipers with carriers for 99p plus postage 
There are always a few of these on eBay & it is well worth keeping an eye out if anyone is thinking of doing the conversion & it is good to plan ahead . Even seized calipers can be refurbished & getting them in advance will give you time to do a nice spruce up job if needed.
If you are an eBay novice then my buying tips would be : keep your eye out , if you see something worth going for then decide on your max bid & put it in as late as possible, do not get carried away with a bidding war , keep an eye on the shipping costs as they can vary a lot , use the "nearest first" search noption to look for local or collection only items , good luck  [-/

Good bargain! I missed out on a similar one for rear calipers for the Sei by about 3 seconds, tried to snipe too early

can you believe I turned my nose up at  these the first time the guy listed them, picked up a complete set inc nearly new discs and pads off a mk1 punto for £25 inc delivery.
 but this will make you guys cry, I have a "wanted 1242cc 16v punto", spares or repairs ad in the ad trader, so I can get a doner for "wee jobby 2", guy phones me on sat from glasgow with a 51 plate punto, no mot, only 2 days tax , he wants it gone quick,

result was towing this home on sunday.

1 owner, 49k, C/L. electric windows, city steering, cost to you sir, £100  

tuesday morning and 2 front tyres later and it has 12 months ticket.  sweet. the  MOT man must have thought I was a loony when he told me the news and I shouted "WOO HOO" in the style of Homer Simpson down the phone at him, I've still got a big  cheesy on my face
