Fiddling around

Engine cleaned, (Suma Grill D9) then jet washed off for ages. It cleaned the fan casing so well, it took the paint off
But engine came up spotless.
Engine painted again with engine paint. Engine bay re sprayed. Looks much better now. I have braided hoses to go on, shiny chrome oil catch tank and then start playing with air filters.

Very nice [-/
Maybe we should make this a new competition. Everyone post they engine bay, and the cleanest one will win.
What do you think

Fantastic. Other than lots of elbow grease, what are you guys using to clean your engines?
Mine needs a huge clean.

I used 'Suma Grill D9' an industrial oven cleaner.Spray it on, 5 mins then rinse off. Need to rinse aluminium really well as it dissolves it, I put a few bolts on some kitchen foil to clean and is disintergrated in about 10 mins

This is the best i was able to do, without painting the engine, i cleaned it with something called Mafrasol, italian made, and just as dajwid said, this too isnt wery aluminum friendly, and the entire bis engine is made of aluminum
it isnt as shiny as yours are, but imho aircooled engines are easier to do, and i cant wash my engine bay cose i would get my whole interior wet...
