Okay so driving style probably plays a big part in this problem, But if you find slowing down for dips and bumps tiresome, this is probably for you:P
Basically i've always gotten a loud clunk from the back of the car whenever I hit a dip or bump at speed, so I scrounged around and found a solution:)
A spare rubber bump stop
Cut into bits (you only really have to cut the end off, i cut both to experiment as theyre different sizes, but the smallest one seems ok)
Inserted the end rubber ring into the spring, around the bolt sleeve (jack up the sump then take the mount bolt out, pull the top metal and rubber bits off the spring, then chuck in the rubber, then reassemble). It's a loose fit, you could put a bit of hose inbetween or something to keep it located, but i didnt bother.
No more clunks!
Note that the spring is in an area that gets pretty hot, and i havnt been on a long drive with it like this yet, so we'll have to find out how the rubber copes with the heat.. hopefully should be ok though.
