Ferrari 126 by Fiat and Markie

Here we go then, 1982 Fiat 126, 1 owner from new, 31000 miles when I bought it in 2005.  I picked this up on Ebay for about £550 with new MOT, went to Bedworth to pick it up one sunday and drove it home 100 miles with no problem apart from the tailpipe falling off.  Kept it for 2 years before stripping it in 2007 and respraying in 2008.

I had a 1978 one back in the late 80's early 90's whilst I was at college doing design and it ended up being a project. See original pic' : -

its the first 126 ive seen parked in a conservatory!!

That is uncanny! the original owner, when he could no longer drive it due to ill health had a coservatory buildt round it so it spent a few years in a nice warm room. I don't know how the person I bought it off managed to get it out but I'm glad they did, anyway the reason i took so long to get round to doing it up was that I was building the workshop from all sorts of cheap double glazing which I got cheap on ebay!  Good old ebay, if yr after double glazing I'm telling you I paid 99p for two good doors and 2 sets of upvc sliding patio doors for a fiver each!

By the way the trolly was chucked over my hedge one night, missed my other car by inches! I was gonna take it back but I never stole it so it's just sittin around with bits in it.

thats cracking theres always a use for someones surplus stuff! youve made me think abit now as thats a good way to get alot of light in a workshop , good work fella!! as for that turntable it looks like it would fit in a micro wave!!!

LOL did i not tell you?? thats how I baked the paint I put it in the microwave.  I have to admit, it was pushing it a bit just using 3 casters, I'll take some pic's of what is left of them since I finished the job.  Unfortunatly my workshop was not totally dust free so the paint job is good but not perfect but the idea of letting light in also works for keeping heat in during the paint process. spray as the sun rises then let the mid day heat do its thing.

Guys n Gals, I shoehorned these seats in but the wide top bits touch the side windows.  Should they stay or should they go?

Ah! got a pic of the dash now with e-window buttons my hand buildt stereo and cd underdash styled by pininfarina (LOL) and black box enclosure hiding a 7" flip up dvd player!  yeah, now yr lovin' it! not to mention the italian leather steering wheel with NOS buttons! (Yeah YEAH)!

Got a new red carpet to fit too! will add more internal pics as it comes along.

Nobody has noticed the window tint yet!
