This is an email i received from kevin inns who is selling his 126 aircooled, i don't know kevin or the car so if your interested give him a ring.
Hi Peter,
I have rescued a 126 from a Fiat dealer and am looking to sell it asap. My son-in-law is the senior salesman at the site and he took the car in p/ex on a new 500. A number of traders had been interested in it but he knows my passion for old cars and gave me first option. I was planning to keep it and run it as a bit of fun for a year or two but I had a accident (not motor related) several months ago and now need further surgery on a leg injury, Sadly I cannot now drive a manual car and will not be able to do so in the future so the car needs to go.
It is a dark blue 126, first registered on 26.11.73. It has had 3 former keepers but as far as I can ascertain these were in the same family and/or business as the car was owned by one of the directors of Bristol Cars, Kensington and was on a personal plate of 100MPH, sadly no longer on the car. It has an MOT until November 2009 and has covered less than 21k miles. It appears to have been maintained by the staff at Bristol Cars and spending money on it has not been a problem. It has a small amount of damage over the o/s/r wheel arch, but otherwise is very clean and tidy. It runs beautifully, everything works but it may well need a new battery which I’m happy to provide before I sell it.
Would you know of anyone in the Club who would be interested in the car before I advertise elsewhere? I live near Uxbridge, Middlesex, just inside the M25 off the A40 London bound and the car is at my home. I’m looking for about £650 for it.
Please feel free to call on the number below or pass it on to anyone who may be interested.
Kind regards,
Kevin
