I used to teach technology in a rather interesting secondary school. I thought my 126 had been stolen one afternoon then discovered it hidden some distance away. Turned out the year 11 lads in my form had picked it up & carried it away for a laugh

funny you should say that as i was getting back in the car i did say "ow your still filling up" lol I think the most i have got in the tank was £12 and most of that was on the floor lol. how far does a tank of juice normally get you?

i get about 150 km from my tank. Now i think there's something wrong with the tank. the book says that the tanks capacity is 21 liters, but i fill it up to the top after driving about 30-40 kms on reserve and only cca 10-13l get in before the pistol clicks... this is very odd, and i think im gonna have to take the tank of and investigate...

sounds like your sender is wrongly set to be honest it only works like a ballcock!!

no, its not leaking, and jes the sender is messed up. but when the reserve lits up i know im close to the end (once i thought it was wrong so i ran out of fuel in the middle of the night ), and i know it only takes in about 10-13l cos the counter on the petrol station says so... this is really puzzling...  ::

but since i never go long-distance, this really isnt such a prob...

btw, how much does 1L of fuel cost in the UK?

Cheapest i've seen is at morrisons - 92.9 pence at the moment.

well its cheaper here, the cheapest is about 0.80 pence, super 95.

I get about 170 miles from a tank (depending on how frugally I drive (currently not at all as it came home on a low loader the other day...)

I get 150 miles out of a tank!
However I think the gauge lies and there is at least another 50 miles worth of petrol in it.
Having had a few issues with a broken V belt - waiting for AA etc I am unwilling to try my luck as me running out of petrol may lead to devorce!

I kinda knew the V belt was on it's way out you see...

thats about right petrol wise, theres a quarter of the tank left when the light goes on. as for the belt theres only one to worry about!!
