Is it based on a seventies or early eighties Japanese motor?

I think it was build from the late eighties, but is definitely not Japanese

I was think its suzuki cappuccino.... but not jap....

I think it's quite big, the windscreen looks like all the sporty japanese cars from 1970 to 1988ish, no luck finding it yet though.

I've just read there were just 15 build...
There was a 'base' model with a BMW 325i engine...
And (Jaybee: You will love this!) some models had Barchetta door handles!!
