I think I've seen quite a few cars (mostly in magazines) over the years, but I had never heard of ATS!! This is a fun way of learning about beautiful cars!! (I find it hard to express my enthousiasm in English..)

Maybe I got a little carried away... I came accross this car in a magazine (I thought a few years ago... but is was in 1987 (Still got that issue!) am I getting old? The car is a one off..

The designer was Italian but died in 1980 at the age of 58. His son Edgardo continued his father’s work until 1990.

This car is powered by a 620-horsepower 8,200cc  Chevrolet Corvette engine and was ordered by a Canadian and was shown on the Geneve Auto Salon in 1981.

The car is based on a popular race car chassis from the senventies....
(The name is the same as the second track on the 'Mika' cd 'The origin of love' )

Getting warm - it's a Vauxhall Sportshatch (a Magnum estate with a droopsnoot).

Got a bit of a soft spot for old Vauxhalls - I ran a 1966 Viva HB as our only car for several years in the mid 1990s, still regret selling it (although Clare got a bit fed up pushing it on the regular occasions when it broke down)...
