Interesting car & I had never heard of one before even though my late Dad worked for a major Rootes Group garage at the time and he used to come home and tell us about the launch of new models. I still remember the launch of the Hillman Imp as my two brothers & I were given promo cardboard cut out models of the car when he got home. Probably kept us from scrapping for an hour or two

Looking at the car on that link it looks more like an Alpine rear with a Rapier front. I found an old training course certificate in my Dad's shed a little while back , dated Jan 1962 , which is signed by Billy Rootes , the brother of Brian who may have had that V8 version of the car .
