A clue: it's an ancestor of a popular drifting machine...

It's a Nissan Silvia S10. It should have been strangled at birth!

Correct!  [-/  I don't know, i kind of like it  :) I've always liked old Japanese cars and my favourite is of course those mirrors (some brit cars had them too...)

Bit of a head-scratcher that one. Its a Leyland Force 7 coupe from Australia in 1974. Like the P76 it sank without trace although I think they still have a following down under.

Ok, see if you can identify this pair of cars from the same manufacturer. I'd like engine details too!

:D OK , now here is a little storey for you. I spotted some Fiat 500 wheels on eBay last year located in my little town of Chesham , quite near Rickmansworth as it happens. Arranged to go and see the wheels prior to bidding. Had a good chat with the guy who turned out to be the son of the man who started Tornado cars. He showed me some of his collection of original cars. So Tornado & yes  they do have internal cumbustion engines if you would like to dot the i's & cross the t's. Also of interest he still knows of the 2 Fiat 600s that were fitted with Lotus Cortina engines back in the 60/70s and drag raced at Santa Pod , etc . I know I was there  ::)

Hey that's Fantastic! Just the kind of car story I like! I read about the Fiat 500's with Ford engines and apparently they were quite the giant-killers on the track. The Tornado Coupe used parts from the Triumph TR3, whilst the early cars were designed to turn the humble Ford 10 into a racer. Those were the days. Your turn again, we are going to have to make this harder.

OOOW ! back in the game. When it come to motor stories I can bore for England on an Olympic scale
Here's another , 1st time I went to New Zealand in 2004 the only mag I fancied taking on the plane was Practical Classics . Reading the "Rust in Peace" section gave me the idea of keeping my eyes open down there . Took quite a few pics of motors then at the base of the East Cape Lighthouse there was an old VW . Sent in the pic & it was published as the most easterly wreck in the world !

So try this vehicle , if nobody gets it overnight I will post a better pic. The big shiny bits on the front are two coins covering strategic info  ;)

Well, I don't know for sure what it is but it looks as if it's based on a Fiat Multipla or Fiat 850. Am I getting warm?
