Yes, but the guess is not about the panzer...Any idea about the convertible?

Engines of the same make were used in Fiat 500/126...

Thats a Goggomobil 2 cyl 2-stroke engine. They were available as a 250 or a 300cc. The 250 was particularly lacking in power but In Germany, at one time, it was legal to drive a 250cc car without a licence so some Fiat 500s were converted to Goggo power. The 300cc motor was a bit better. There was also a 400cc motor which had virtually no interchangeable parts, was adequately powerful, but had a bit of a reputation for fragility and I think these were also fitted in Fiat 500s for some markets.
So that makes the convertible car a Glas, built at Dingolfing in Germany.

Good enough:
Those "SWAPS" allowed to drive cars with the old driving license no.4, wich was a TOMS for our grandfathers.
You got the FIATs with one cylinder enabled, or with that Goggo-engine. Goggos were made by Glas, but you'll be astonished, what else they made. The "guess"-car is a 1300 GT.

As so many times, BMW has eaten this company, too, like they did with Borgward and Rover...

So, a new "guess the car" from Terry now!

Ok, how about this one ? To my eyes this car is so beautifully proportioned you could not tell it's size unless there was another common vehicle in the same photo.

Rear engine, exhaust left. Seems to be a Fiat 600 based special. Maybe Alemano?

Hi Chris, great to hear from you. Sorry, car is not related to Nissan Figaro.  I don’t know how many of these were made ( probably few ), or how many survive ( probably fewer ). I photographed this one at the 2006 Swiss International Microcar Rally. There also used to be one on display at the Story Kleinwagen Auto Museum in Germany, and I’ve seen pics of two in Sweden.

Will you be coming to our National Microcar Rally at Ripon that Jim and I are organising this year in the beautiful Yorkshire Dales on September 3 – 6 ?

More info in “What’s On” at www.micromaniacsclub.co.uk

All 126 enthusiasts are welcome, as are all enthusiasts for small cars. For this year we are introducing free rally entry and camping for visitors from Non-UK addresses.

Hi Gordan, There’s certainly a resemblance to the VW Karmann-Ghia, but I don’t know of any connection between them.

Andi, you’re on the right track, but I don’t think it’s Allemano. – try Italiano
