i got shoved up the arris the other day , am quite pleased as it only buggered a bumper bracket and rear bolt in panel!! bit of whipplash i came off worse lol , i was gutted as the car is stock from 1979 , now its going to be possibly written off as the repairers cannot be bothered and will put in a stupid quote! i will not let it happen of course if any one is going to wreck this car it will be me lol. also be carefull with old windscreens.. i lost mine at 70 mph on the m20 it was impossible to see when it went then it blew through the car straight into my face!
if you can get a modern replacement then do so before you cop it in the mush!!!

sorry to hear about your accident surely if its only panel damage you can get the car back from the insurers and do the work yourself? hope it gets sorted in your favour!!

my bis got it up the ar$e a few years ago too (a cop hit the previous owner... :: ) but it just took a few bangs with the sledge hammer to straighten the rear valance and that was it. hope your damage wasn't too serious and can be fixed easily.... :wink:

as you say stuey its an easy fix but this just highlights why insurance is so expensive its the body repairers who label the car as not viable to fix. the insurance companys just take their word for it. its a silly scenario , the car will not be scrapped as i will but it back if they do lol, then i shall ma
