Nottingham Microcar Rall this Friday September the 2nd

The club is meeting this Friday the 2nd at Southwell Race course, Near Newark, Nottinghamshire.

Please email me if you would likemore information, otherwise i hope to see lots of you there! Its the biggest microcar rally in the world! It would be nice to have a good turn out!

This is an email sent to me today from the rally organiser

"Hi there Chris
You are welcome to arrive at any time. The rally field opens from 12 noon on thursday 1st. On friday ray & I will be taking a road run out to the bubble car museum and southwell workhouse but should be back mid afternoon. If you arrive when we are not around someone on site will look after you.
The rally should be signposted; follow brown horse box entrance signs. Southwell is on A612 near Newark.
Any further info. we should be around on and off tomorrow.

Friday!?!?! whoever heard of a rally on a friday? thats just wierd as most people will be at work

This is a three day event.
I went to one a few years ago and it was excellent!
It's well worth going,  some very crazy micro cars. It is also an international event with camping facilities etc.


Took this from another forum:

Friday:  There will be a run out to get everyone in the mood.

Saturday:  a drive out to Crich Tramway Museum with free entry for microcar and driver!

Sunday:  still being organised

I still havnt been able to sort out the problem of petrol in the oil in my BIS's oil sump, ive bought a new fuel pump to see if this will correct it, but i cant travel to nottingham in it. So unfortunately i cant make the meet on friday at the southwell race course, if i manage to sort it i will try to go later on hopefully the saturday. I just cant do those sort of miles, incase of engine wear, the sump is completley flooded with petrol.
