two days ago i visited the Zagreb Auto Show and it was the first time i saw the new 500 upclose...
i must say that ive fallen in love the moment i saw it. it looks even better in life than on the pics..
i sat in the drivers seat and in the back and was really surprised by the ammound of space it offered.. the only minus i think is the small trunk which is big enough for a jacket and sunglasses
but hey, no one is gonna buy it for its functionality, althouh when you fold down the seats you get a lot more space (now why does this sound familiar
the engines offered are 1,2 8v fire with 69hp and fuel consumption of 5,1 l (average) ,which i think is best suited for my easy going style of driving, 1,4 16v fire with 100 hp and cosumption of 6,3l and 1,3 16v m-jet diesel with 75hp an fuel consumption of 4,2 liters per 100km...
the cheapest version POP is surprisingly well equipped (mp3 cd radio with 6 speakers, 7 airbags, abs and a lot more...)
the thing i love the most is its costumisibility. the buyer can choose between 3 types of steering wheels, A LOT of interrior combos, optional equipment, stickers and chrome add-ons... you can even choose between 3 sets of key covers...
the last thing is the price... i consider it to be rather high for a car thats only 3.5 m long. the basic model ( in croatia) costs 11600€, the model with the equipment i want costs 15000€ and the most expensive model, Sport costs 16000€. the diesel version is 2500€ more....
all in all i love this car, i consider it to be the real succesor of the legendary 500 nueva (and therefore the 126). if i had the money iwould have bought it on site, but im still a student and intend to buy it after collage...
