In the last few months I have changed jobs and my daily commute now involves A40/M40 through Oxfordshire, rather than a bus across town. Previously I only needed a car to get around at the weekends so I had a much loved Cinquecento that I drove everywhere and it was always a great deal of fun. Sadly I had to trade her in for a Mark 4 Golf which was much more suited to the motorway each day. Whilst the Golf is perfect for this (getting me to and from work quickly and in comfort), it is the dullest car I have ever driven and I crave the little Fiat like mad! So I have decided to by a car for the weekend. I have a very modest budget and have my heart set on a Fiat 126. It suites my criteria perfectly- Fiat, light, skinny tyres, small buzy engine, and most of all fun to drive! I don’t have the time to take on any serious mechanical project, so I am looking for a car ready to drive away. I would love to hear from anyone selling, or knows of someone selling an air-cooled Fiat 126.
