For that sort of price it is definitely worth it. Well even the complete rot boxes on eBay go for around £500,-
It looks like it will need complete re build. If you good with a welder and bodywork is not a problem, but if you have to pay for it, is a different story. Had a quote last week on the 126 to do couple of dents and respray and it was a bit of a shock to me...
Anyway let us know how you getting on with it [-/

Been and had a look :(

From the kneesdown it is totally rotten. The seat runners have fallen through the floor. corners where floor meets the inner wings have huge holes, outer wing bottoms have gone.

Car is totally complete 54000miles 1 owner from new.

Here are a few pictures. Warning not for the faint hearted :-

It does seem indeed that you will need to put in a lot of work, but again, for that price, id take it, you can always store it somewhere and start it once you had the $$, good 500 are hard to come by, and tend to cost A LOT more than 100 pounds...

p.s. me thinks, that you could get a 126 el engine, and stick it into that baby, and me thinks it would be awesome  ;) [-/

Id make sure you weld in some brace before you move it or cut the old floor out to ensure the shell doesnt twist...but it looks like a good basis for a resto- Ive seen far worse!

Yeah, it's still worth a hundred pounds. the motor is probably still usable or at least fine to rebuild. you have a complete dash and everything which alone is probably worth the hundred pounds. My 500 is in far worse condition than that one is, if it makes you feel better:P

Your biggest problem with restoration would be the roof, its one of the few areas where there are no replacement panels available so new sections would have to be wheeled up to match the existing contours and let in. It looks like most of  the outer panels (wings, door skins and bottoms, rear quarters, bonnet , inner wings etc need replacing along with the floors. It is a big job, I know because I'm mid way through rebuilding my 500, but (with the exception of the roof) is within the capability of most enthusiasts, so you should be able to do a large proportion of the work yourself.

If you take it on I would be happy to point you in the right direction for parts and so on, otherwise like I said, I would be interested myself.

If you want to talk through whats involved, give me a call on 07778 766881, would be happy to help

100,-GBP = 111,-EUR.
Now have a look at what i shot for 200,- EUR 3 weeks ago:

I don't need it, but the price was unbeatable. 500L. Engine runs, car is complete and everything works. Only brakes need some overhouling. And the floor has the usual probs. The 500 had a few years out of order in a backyard, and so it looks. I'd like to drive it "rat-style", but my wife does not really agree...But this is not her beef, she's got her giardiniera!
Seems like the trend goes to 5th car...
To your 500: I'd cut the roof of and plant some geranium into. 500 in this condition have to be a "N" or "D" to be worth to be saved.

Yes, very sad! How the hell can the geranium be prevented from falling through the floor... </
