Carburettor BIS Arrrrrrrrrrgggggghhhhhhhhhhh!!!
« on: September 18, 2007, 12:45:45 AM »
Hi everbody!

Sorry for the hysterics but my gf's '88 126 Bis has been off the road for 6 months now due to a faulty carb. The garage we use say it needs a new one but we cannot find a suitable unit or even a good used example. We tried a German company who have been AWFUL and lied to us for months and its getting the point now when we are close to giving up. Please can anyone get us in touch with someone who can get us the part and my girls fave little car moving again???

Thanks

David Jones

Carburettor Problem

Could you give us more information, symptoms etc. There is usually no need to buy a complete new carb. to cure fuel problems. It's usually things like blocked jets, blocked fuel line, blocked fuel filter, mixture too rich, too weak, fuel vapourisation, loose carb fixing bolts. And where are you ?. There may be a 126 club not far from you willing to take a look at the problem. Six months is far too long to be without a 126.
