New Chairman/committee
« on: August 22, 2007, 04:11:49 PM »
hi all,

it would be great if we could get a chairman to get the club in order, or a small committee?? to run things. To help take the club to another level and get the events and meets arranged how it should be done.

i will be doing what i can, would be great if a number of people could all chip in. then its not a drain on time for an individual.

ideally i would like to see a bunch of us running the club, all with equal power of running things, none of his chairman bullpoo, where everyone ends up arguing like other clubs.

please post your thoughts.

regards

Chris

A new chairman is definitely required for the club to grow. Chris you have done a great job in setting up the club so it is time to take off some of the strain!

If a new committee cannot be elected, the club will become a forum type club which is not the way to go!

I have added my views on the committee set up in the club members section. So have a read!

thanks chris,

youre right, i'd hate to see everyones time thats been put into making the club what it is wasted.

again Chris is right committee style is the way to go, because we have so many decent people on here who actually really care about the club and 126's.

we'll sort somthing out, even if it takes a while to organise.

kind regards

Chris

i nominate mick for position of 126 reich furher.....

i think the club is already a forum based one after the recent turnouts?.

just leave it run like this...far easier and no one will be disapointed at low show turn outs etc, keep it cyber......

I think we ought to go with

Chairman
Role - General club administration

Events Secretary
Role - Arranging Events and possibly running a future club shop?

Club Secretary
Role - Treasurer & Membership applications

because it puts the club on a more professional level and to coin a phrase one man one job, then it does not matter which part of the country you live in.

The forum needs funding for it to run, at the moment this expense is subsidised from club members funding. So its not such a good thing to have a forum members club!

The club is still growing and I am sure that there will be more interest for meet up's in the future. There is so much potential in the club to improve and be beneficial for 126 owners! it's a shame not to take this up!

I second Mick.

Forum for members only. Don't pay, don't have access to all the info. Simple.

Totally agree Dajwid, if people want to have a say how the club is run they should join and pay the membership fee.

Many come onto the forum, ask for help, read all the info, free

The fee is really not too much to pay.
