Hi Philippa, im not going to be much help with this one, sorry. i have an old Fsm replica carb, but it will need re-conditioning. There must be a couple of firms near you that could re-condition yours though? I got mine done at a Weber dealers, but it cost me £120 to do. the worst problem with them is usually the main spindle, which fits through the base, and works with the throttle. They were made without any bearings !!!, and as they wear they allow more and more air through beside them, upsetting the carb mixture.I take it you're still not back on the road yet then?.

Hi Philippa.  I have a spare Bis carb. you can have but are you sure it will solve the problem ?. I myself have never solved an engine problem by changing a carb. Do you know about the big brass hexaganal nut which, when you remove it, allows access to the main jet for cleaning purposes ?. If you change the carb. the rear R.H nut is a swine to get at.

Philippa's Carb.

Philippa, I need a haircut so £5 for me + £7 postage =  Ã‚£12 total. I assume when you said you need a "new" carb. you mean "used" as opposed to " brand shiny new." I scrapped the car to which it was fitted because of poor bodywork but all the mechanicals including the carb. were all working perfectly at the time of breaking. If you prefer I can just send the idle adjustment screw on it's own. Let me know. Phone if you wish,  01509 554337.  I also need your address.
P.S.  Who is "lol" ?
