that compressor might not be anygood for spraying, looks little too small and would lose pressure quick .

anyhow , i have used 2 pak paint before and my neighbours does on daily basis .
its very toxic indeed, if it gets on your skin can soak in and kill you .. no joke ..

celli . is safe but doesnt give as good finish, thats why old skoolers like the neighbour uses 2 pak ..  he not dead yet, but he wears all safety gear .. like i said gets on your skin and into your blood and your a gonna

we painted my fiat 500 with 2 pac :) ..  a few years back, dresed up like ghostbusters , i even brought a old sas gasnask to keep me safe as they had a charcoal filter in ...

The guy I got the compressor from had used it to respray his Porsche 911 and a VW Bay Camper Van so I reckon it might handle a 126  [-/

you did a good job on welding and respraying that 500, remember the pics you took, have you sold that car?

yes 1.5bhp should do the job for respraying, 126cab aka David from Rotherham used to use one like the Monza electric 1.5hp compressors, he used to get a superb finish on all the cars he resprayed using cellulose paint.

hi chris , sadly i sold the car a number of years ago, still miss all my 500's that have been and gone, still got my fiat 126 picky and other 126 bis now , so .. still happy ..

i cant take credit for welding either, my mate who is a welder (although he welds up zimmer frames and metal comode chairs all day at his work on a jig .. did the welding )

hes a good lad .. he is going to look at latest bis as needs some welding which is good, mechanics is upto me ..

hey remember that compressor be good for waxoiling :)

Came across this site the other day, maybe of some help if your looking for a 126 colour code. by the way the colour code sticker on the bis is located on the top left hand side on the reverse side of the bonnet.

My 126 1983 is brown in colour 'Maroneland 1701' as per boot label, its not on this list, does anybody else have the same colour and know where i might get a good match touch up pen from? :)
