About time I said hello I think...
« on: February 23, 2007, 01:44:14 PM »
Hi all Iv been a Fiat nut most of my life and have owned 4 126's in my time but never a water cooled one yet.

I am running around in a silver Cinquecento sporting at the moment just waiting my time for a good 126 to come along my way..

I enjoy working on Fiat engines in my spare time..re-building vespa and lambo engines also.

Some of you might have seen me around the different Fiat events over the years as Im always looking at the 126s on the Club stands.

I am also part of the Admin Team at www.cento-rebels.com and put the site together and forum...and have had lots of fun doing this..

Thats a little about myself then.

Hi Chris
Thank you all for your welcome. I have never driven a Seicento to date a little to modern for my likening but I am very interested in what some of the members on our forum have been doing to the engines makes some good reading..

My most modern move was to the Cinqucento  as I needed a little Fiat to drive around and could not find a 126 at the time and now 6 months later still looking might even make the move to a 126bis as finding a air cooled with out the rot and at a good price is now getting very hard...

Welcome!
If you like tinkering with engines hold on for the aircooled.  The engine is far easier to work on and standard and tuning parts are plentiful!  Not that i dont like bis's! I love all 126's equally.

I think your right Tomasz I need to hold out for a air cooled 126 as that is what Im used too..and think I would not be 100% happy with a 126Bis

Hi Dave

Hows sunny Jersey I spent some Holidays there as a kid was a nice place also loved Guernsey and the other Channel Islands that I went to, I was 9 at the time and found all the WW2 enforcements very interesting do they still have the hill climb car events on Guernsey as this was the 1st racing event I had ever seen and have been hocked on race cars from that day on..

Pleased to meet you

hi,well, yes, there is a full calender of motor sport here in the channel islands........i was hopeing to sprint the 126 this year, but it looks like im gna be in formula libre.........not much fun......i need roll cage etc..........so may bin the idea.......their loss in my opinion.........grid is full of escorts etc.........so they can get on with it..........

all our fortifications are still here, better now, some open and fully restored.......
