Hi Bruce,
Thanks for your concern but not been Inglish sometimes is dificult for me to find the right words for the problems i need help.
I am going to put it this way, I have all lights working well except when switched to main beam, the bulbs show a very weak light and disconnecting one of the bulbs while the mais beam is on the other bulb lights ok, it seems that when the 2 bulbs are connected something is stealing breaking the power, it may be earth.
thanks
Jorge

try running a temporary earth lead direct to the earth connection on the light. But I guess it's not that because you should have the same problem on main beam?

Hi
I had this problem with mine, it is the dim dip relay wired up wrong.  You can find two of the relays located above the fuse box at the front of the car.  There are 5 connectors and they are on the wrong pins.  All I did was swap them around until it worked.  If you have any probs finding the relay I will take a pic of mine and post it here.  I spent lots of money replacing the relays only to discover some plonker had wired it up wrong!
hope this helps.

Hi,
Above the fuse box I have 5 relay plugs or connectors, 4 of them take 4 pins relay and 1 take 5 pins relay. All of the plugs were fitted with 5 pins relays before but as I mencioned 4 of them only had 4 wires connected to it and I changed them to 4 pins relays , probably I did something wrong .
thanks

what should happen is when engine is running and you put the side lights on the dim dip headlights should come on, if only the parking/side lights come on when the ignition switch is in the run position there is something wrong. When the headlamps are turned on all should be normal.

Not 100% sure but it may be OK to get rid of the dim dip lights, they only fitted them to UK vehicles (cars, bikes, et al) for a couple of years, untill a european ruleing caused them to be dropped.

They where introduced to get round all the plonkers who used to drive around with sidelights in poor visability, and are notorious for causing lighting/wireing problems.

Hi

Below are some pics.  The affending itm is on the right, the one with five wires coming out.  Move these around to get them right, then your lights should work.  Also there is a wiring diagram so you can work it out from there.  Hope this helps.
