Hello from Australia

I recently bought a 1990 FSM Niki (Fiat 126) and I love it to bits. It's an air-cooled 650 model (they all are here) and it survives the australian heat just fine.

I'll put some pics up when I get home (work computers are good things) and you will see what its like. The body on it looks awful due to someone hand painting it yellow, then someone else stripping the yellow paint off but its in pretty good nick.

Interior needs a lot of work but mechanically its brilliant, having had a major service done about 1000ks ago, apart from the starter motor which went two weeks ago.

This doesn't bother me very much because I lost my licence last week (we have these things called hoon laws) so I now have 3 months to work on my niki without spending any money on fuel or anything. The guy I'm getting a starter motor off also has a spare body because he pulled the engine out to put in a 500 so I might be getting a new body for $200.

So theres a little about my car, I'm James and 18 years old from Perth, Western Australia. You'll probably see me posting around somewhere, asking questions and when I know enough, maybe answering some myself.

Hi James, I shall be visiting Oz next october and staying in Fremantle for 3 months so would like to see your air cooled. I would like to bring my Bis to show you but it might just put my suitcase over the weight limit. Let me know your phone no.

Heya,

My name is Mark and I'm in Perth and a red FSM 650 owner also,

quick question, did you purchase the car off Larry? he buys 126's and butches them for 500's
