There is an ex. 126 a/c owner ar Buxton Derbys. who has a bonnet, 2 frt. wings and a frt. panel all new & in primer for sale. His name is Bob and his ph. no. is 01298 812800. He was talking £120 for the lot. My problem was I needed the parts for a Bis and his parts were for the a/c and they are not interchangable. Not far from Rugby !.

nice one banjo, you say the bis and aircooled are not interchangable? is it the bumper mounting points?

Hi Gadge,  I gleaned this knowledge from Classic Car Weekly dated Dec. 11th 2002 Pages 20-21    To quote- "The front wings aren't generally too bad but can go under the rubber seal on top that mates with the boot lid. And if you do need to buy replacement front wings be aware that wings on the Polish built cars are one of the few components that won't also fit cars made in Italy".  I realise, therefore, my statement was not strictly accurate because the question of the bonnet and front panel still remains unanswered.

the late fsm wings will fit the bis,its to do with the wheelarch lip being bigger than the italian/early fsm's...........i sure the front panel is interchangable,i thank cars i think for this info

so, generally speaking, besides the bumper mounting point, which i know some of the air cooled ones DON'T have cos they had chrome ones, and the fact that they may not have side repeaters and a bigger lip on the wheel arch, do you think they are dimentionally the same? cos i need 2 new ones and i got some brand new chrome bumpers i wanna fit?

the lip is crucial to the fit.if you have a bis/fsm you need the late wings, then you need to weld up the extra side bumper brkt holes, you dont have to,but it looks better..check out my car in readers rides....lateish fsm 650 (87) with bumper side holes filled.

oh,and you really need the little panels above the wing as well, the wing kinda tucks in behind them
