Hello from Wembley!!
« on: September 29, 2006, 11:51:02 AM »
Hi... As a Fiat 126 enthusiast and a new club member I would like to introduce myself  :D ... My name is Voytec (Wojtek in polish) and originally come from Krakow, Poland. Apologise for any mistakes made but english isn't my first spoken language.. I live in UK for 6 years now, I'm 30, well endo.... , hang on... oh no...  :???:  this is the site where the people say what they have small..... OK...sorry.  I'm the man with a small car called Fiat 126.
I bought my 126 on eBay recently.. This is my big come back.. I had a few 126's in Poland a years ago, when I was young and handsome and I was using this car for almost everything..., for fun (have you tried to fit 7 people inside the car and drive 5 miles to the party?), holiday trips, as a cheap commuter or as a rally car.  I haven't tried sex in this car but one of my friends has (poor guy, I'm not sure if he still have a back pain  )
My 126 is actually called Fiat R24... I bough her with a faulty gearbox with reverse, 2nd and 3d gear working... It's an aircooled, 1986, 650cc, blue beast. The bodywork is a bit tatty, engine has some oil leaks, gearbox needs attention, interior?.... don't ask..... but, common this is a 20 years old car!! I've just started stripping everything down and I'm going to rebuild her with some nice modifications... Hopefully by the spring 2007 it should be ready...
OK... If there is anyone who needs a help with getting parts for fiat 126 I'm keen to help. I quite often travel to Poland (sometimes by large estate car) and I can bring some parts.. I'm also planning to import one car from there just to see how it works and if anyone is interested of buying lhd Fiat 126 just let me know. I can get a '70s chrome bumpered original car, latest Fiat 126 Maluch or Town, or professionally modified beast.
All the best to every Fiat enthusiast!! Take care...
   Voytec

Wojtek Witam!

Importing from Poland is a pain in the 'dupa'.
Very expensive if the car is pre 2001. Better if the car was German registered.
Bringing cars from non EU countries as a bit more expensive. I looked into it as I wanted to bring my 126 over from Poland this year.
It is now sitting in a garage in Gdansk waiting for a 'swap'.

Welcome to the club. Hope you get along to some meets.

I am rebuilding a 1986 aircooled LHD (Polish import) at the moment. Drove over with my camper full of 126 parts and alloys on the roof  .

Siema Dajwid!!
Thanks for info about importing cars from Poland... well... yes that looks a bit complicated... fortunatelly I've got my own car to play with. I have just started restoring her.. looks like I will have a lot of work to be done to finish. I have another projects in progress, motorbikes: Jawa TS350 and MZ ETZ250. Jawa is nearly done...
