if the gears are crunching when pushing in, the obvious remedy is to adjust the clutch cable, but does this mean you have to tighten the nut up or slacken the nut?

Last time my gears were crunching in, i adjusted the cable next week the cable snapped, so it could also mean the cable is on its way out?

Hi Chris. i read somewhere that when you adjust the clutch cable you need 15mm of play. push the lever forward till it hits the clutch cover pull the cable to the back of the car measure the distance between the lever and the domed nut it should be 15mm if not adjust it. my clutch was slipping when it was hot and when i measured it there was only 2mm of play. its as sound as a pound now.

Hi Chris, i have edited my last post as when i looked at the manual it says 15 mm free play. i thought the micro show was this bank holiday or is it just me or the stella talking.

no peter its defo next thrusday - sunday, sunday being the main event day, im going to be there from the friday, so are a few people i know who are going, we have our own club stand on the sunday.
