could hot weather make the engine jump

Hi my 76 aircooled has been looked over by a mechanic, and he sees nothing wrong with it, but when I drove it home it jumped like crazy again. Could hot weather cause it to jump?

can I only drive it on cool days?

I noticed Chris Larkin has a similar one to mine, have you had any issue like this?

hi Steve, is it only in hot weather it does it?

have you checked the condensor is not loose, when mine was loose the car did that.

It could be your car is miss firing, did the mechanic check the timing? Could try some new spark plugs and HT leads.

what gear is this happening in? Could be gearbox?

i hope someone else offers some advice, im sure they will

Mine did that when driving almost on idle in any gear. It was due to the mix screw turning it self in and out from the vibrations. Eventually the car would not idle at all. I solved it by replacing the rubber on the screw.
