Are you sure that it is the relay? check that the stalks around the column are not over tightened, some times it distorts the plastic so not all contacts make contact if that makes sense.

Hi Pete, thanks for the reply....I'm sure it's the relay....I now have to admit that I have two fiat 126 bis's I just bought another.....well why not....😳 So I took the relay from my first one and tried it in the one I just bought.....things work fine.....👌 So I'm trying to source a working relay....

So as I  really value your advice.....the second one I have has an electronic ignition fitted to the dizzy....I was just checking the timing with a strobe....it was way off the marks..... I loosened the dizzy and moved it to Aline the marks at 10 degrees btc as I'd done with my other one with the points....as that was way off too...

Thing is it seemed to idle poorly when I set the timing but seems to run better if the timing marks are out of alignment as per the manual....guess my question is ......with electronic ignition modules fitted....should the timing be set differently....sorry for yet another question....🙄 Thanks for all the help....👍

First question is, how the electronic ignition is fitted if the sensor is screwed to the original Bis base plate does the advance/retard mechanism still work? The timing should be setup as Stock.
