If you only need two ports, why not just join the two pieces of pipe? Search for "brake pipe connector" on ebay - there's male/male and female/female Or do you mean one in, two out? If so, use one of these:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Brake-Pipe-T-Piece-M10-x-1-Thread_W0QQitemZ150012783735QQihZ005QQcategoryZ36631QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

If you have one of these - use an M10 bolt (you'll have to experiment for the right thread pitch) - but its safer to use a proper connector.

the picture that youve provided is the actual part i have got ..

so of course i only need two ports and not the three i have got ??

as for endless m10 and similar size bolts i havent got these either ?

i couldnt even take to a hardware shop as i woulkdnt know if the threads would leak under pressure ??

any other ideas ?

richard, car makers will use smaller sections of pipe sometimes for ease of assembly,if your not going for concours why not try and do it in one peice??? if your using cunnifer it makes it easier...car makers generaly use steel......just a thought

hello 126 dave ..  sorry mate i have not manufactured these pipes myself its a premade kit ..

the like that i have had to buy 2 already as was a pipe short / missing in the first set ..

i would have also just gone to local motor factors and asked them to make me the correct length pipe to save time .

but they told me ( cant help you ... its a different thread youve got ? .. maybe europeon ??? . and we dont have any thing like that here)

thats why i brought two sets .... now ive got one leaky pipe thats leaky from the old connector ..

so i couldnt find a two way only a 3, thats why i am having to block a hole up ?

however for £2 i am going to try that one paul messaged me about and see if the threads are the same ???

if not i still have the same trouble ....

sounds like your local factors just couldnt be arsed............european=metric.............if you told them too much truth you prob scared the twit behind the counter........prob doesnt know a 500 from a minor thousand.

sometimes better just to ask for the part, never mention the 1970's/1960's to a modern motor store man.................if they make up brake pipes they would have a selection of fittings to hand....i could understand if you were trying to get a pipe for a 1944 GMC duece and a half,(as i did recently) that would scare them, but a metric union???? whats the world coming too!!!!

Richard maybe I'm wrong but could you not cut the ends of the short pipe take to the motor factors and get them to make up a new pipe of the correct length using the ends you supply.I've done it,in fact I,ve made pipes using old ends from old pipes.Perfectly safe and mot legal.

your probs right 126 dave, and ta for the info paul ..

its just these two sets of ready made brakes lines were quite expensive and i didnt really want to wreak a perfectly good peice in that way

incase i had trouble in the future as i could just replace it with the correct length next time .

if you see what i am saying .

oh hehe paul as for saving my old ends from my 500.. hehe forget it, they were all rounded off to buggery . and f*kin useless ...

as you can all see i am still learning

hey never know i might finish it one day :)

hey just brought a honda dax monkey bike :) so you may see me at a meet on that little bad bwoy .. keep em peeled ..

all the best and thanks for all your info ..

hello paul , as you know i brought one of them two way connectors ..

however its got a different thread .. ?? so unusable

so my only option is to take a pipe down to motor factors, they chop it up and use the ends.. and make me a new length of pipe ..

will let u know how i get on

ive replaced the whole centre section of pipe now and its still leaking from the old two way junction ..

so ive decided to scrap the two way juction and just have one peice of pipe made todo the whole length , like what had been suggested ..

hopefully this with finally cure things ...

so i will take my peice of pipe , and get motor factors to use my ends and just make me one long length

will keep u posted  ....

like always a hjob i thought would take a few hours , has esculated to a few months and extra money ..

still brakes are important .. hehe

Richard have you got the correct flare on the pipe?
single flare/ double flare
If it's wrong it will leak

hello there , ive got a premade kit ... from germany so its all been flared which ever way ..

it doesnt leak from every join .. just one ?

so it must be the two way coupler ..

in reguards to your photo as you look at it mate my pipe looks like the one on the left hand side as you look at it ..
