i think i have a set of rear shocks or the old 126.
they are monroes and they are new but lack the rubber mounts.
let me chek my garage, they might be at mums in north scotland.

come on people lets see what we can dig out for slater.

Does anyone know if you can use the later doors for older earlier aircooled models, i.e. peel off the paint on the aluminum window surrounds? then polish them up?

My old earlyish aircooled had a later model door fitted to it. Not sure if they had swapped the trim over but i dont think they had.

yer the doors fit straight on from any model i believe, but what i mean is, you know on the bis and late fsm aircooled models, you have some paint (usualy peeling off) around the aluminium window surrounds. I was just wondering if the paint could be chipped off and the aluminium polished up to look like the early doors.

yes i have them in my garage rear monroe shocks, only one has the rubber mounts, perhaps you could reuse old rubber mounts for the other.
do you want them ?
