Hey boys and girls, I thought I'd introduce myself so here goes...
I've always been a massive fan of the little fiats and at the first opportunity last year I decided to get my greasy mits on one. I spotted one for sale on the old interweb and headed down for a nosey. It was a 1990 Hungarian Aircooled 126. Whilst I was there I spotted two others he had for sale. A UK Bis and another little aircòoled polish model. Long story short after a tough choice had to be made and a brutal negotiation on the price I came away that day with my beloved 126. Now at this point you may be wondering which one? Well never one to do things by halves and feeling greedy that day I actually came away with an empty wallet and all three cars.
Since then I've done quite a bit of work on the Bis as it had taken a right old clout on the front end and the previous repair was let's say... less than desirable. At present the front end and n'earside wing has been taken off and replaced and it's currently sat in primer and ready for paint. I'm also in the process of registering the Hungarian Aircooled 126 which I have left 99% original. So hopefully I will finally have one of my babies on the road soon.
On a side note I also have as my current daily drive a Zastava 101 which I run around in practically everyday. For anyone not quite sure what that is, well..its basically a Fiat 128 with a different rear end produced under licence in Yugoslavia. My plan is to eventually run between the 101 and the 126 or which ever one isn't broken down that day ha ha.
