Hello
« on: April 24, 2017, 07:46:44 PM »
Hi everyone
I'm Rob.
I have just picked up a late air cooled polish 126. We have to sell our 500 soon so the 126 will replace it.
Looking to make the 126 look like the first series. Chrome bumpers on the way and need a set of those early steel wheels.

 :D

Thanks very much!

I need to get the gearbox out and see what's making a horrible noise. Shouldn't take long as I run a historic racing car preparation business. One of the main jobs for the fiat is to get from our transporter to the hotel.

Hi Rob welcome to the world of the 126. I have got some early wheels here but with the larger PCD they are not a straight swop for the later 98pcd wheels.

I definitely want the early wheels. So it's a hub change to the 500 ones? If so I'll need a set of those too! Aren't cars a great way of spending money!!  ;D

It certainly helps having every imaginable tool! Including paint booth/oven. One thing is the lack of time! I'm guessing the 126 will get a full transformation over the winter.

It will get a repaint in our company oxford blue. All the race cars we build are this colour. Everyone knows who built it then.

Nice looking MGB, are the front side and indicator lights deliberately fitted the wrong way round ?  :)

That's the correct way around. Side lights go on the side.
A few run the other way. Looks dreadful.
