Weather strip for door windows
« on: April 20, 2017, 01:25:06 PM »
Has anyone changed the weather strips on the wind up door windows, they look like there a pain to replace. Is there an alternative to what is fitted, I was thinking on the lines of some type of rubber.

The weather strips are attached to the window surround (which come in black or chrome)

These surrounds are an absolute pain to fit. I'm not sure if it's just because the ones I've attempted to fit are poor aftermarket moulds or if the genuine parts are just as bad.

Yeah they are a pain I found it easier if you undo the quarter window and slide it towards the rear. This gives you more space and less restrictions although it does mean removing the door card and window guides and so on
