Hi,

I went to poland 6 years ago and seen lots of maluchs over there! ever since then i have wante done. i could never find one, but now i really want one, im getting impatiant haha

i dont have £3000 to buy one of the ones off ebay though!

has anyone got a good car? a project is ok (i own classic minis too! haha)

close to nottingham as possible

You may have to be patient good drivable ones do turn up on eBay from time to time but be warned if your paying less than £1000 for one it'll almost certainly be a project.

Why don't you come back over and get one? There are still loads of decent cars around for much less than £1000

its shipping it back thats the expensive bit

i goto poland every year as my wife is polish and her family live over there still.

last time i was there i found a really nice one for 3,500zl but i had a quote of £1000 to ship it back here... and that was the cheapest option i found. i cant bring myself to pay that kind of money to have it transported.

the other things that put me off a little is having to be sat on the wrong side of the car haha and also having to insure it as an import

I can understand your logic, but I drove a 55 year old car from Glasgow to Krakow instead of having it transported and had a good laugh in the process.

What about trying a RHD conversion?

 If you search hard enough and you are patient, you`ll find one.
 There was a nice rhd air cooled 126 with MOT on Gumtree this week for £1500. Looks like it`s sold now.

 Importing one is an option, but you have to calculate all the costs in even if you drive it back yourself. Ideally you also want to see the car before you buy it, or at least someone to go and have a look at it for you.

 We`ve done that sort of journey to Eastern Europe many times and to be honest is not something I would fancy doing in a 126

Yeah I have had a bid on this already

I have done an MOT check on it and it failed it's MOT big time in 2008 which is why it's stayed off the road as there was a lot of work to do to it.

What do you think it's worth?

An immaculate one sold the other week for £1625 with MOT and everything

Then another that was a rotten car sold for £295

 That`s a pretty impressive failure sheet . I guess they must have gone through the car with a fine tooth comb.
 My biggest concern would be how rotten it is underneath. The mechanical parts are pretty cheap and you`ll probably end up replacing most parts anyway during ownership if you want a decent car.
 You`ll also have to factor in how much you can get for the 500 parts that will go with it(maybe couple hundred quid).
 It doesn`t look like it will be cheap though as it`s already on £600.
 How much it`s worth? It`s hard to say. To me it`s not worth much, but to someone who really wants one it`s probably worth much more .

Yeah I couldn't believe the MOT!!

It's now £720

I can't see how it can be worth over £1000 when an immaculate one with MOT sold for £1625 just a couple of weeks ago!

I'm watching another that ends in 5hrs,

It's £150 but very bad condition, maybe too bad

 I guess most people bidding haven`t checked the MOT result, they took a look at it and thought it doesn`t look too bad. Same as me
 It`s a bit hit and miss with the prices of these cars. I guess it`s all about supply and demand.

 In my opinion that one at £150 is a bit too far gone, unless you really enjoy welding.
