Polish nanoplex to normal dizzy wiring
« on: July 06, 2016, 06:46:45 PM »
Need some help,

I am converting from late model Polish electronic wiring because  my replacement engine has a normal dizzy with electronic conversion, I have removed all the Polish coil and other bits and need some help with what wires to use for the alternator and new coil with resistor.

Please make it simple !

Without all the electronic ignition that is in the EL & ELX the circuit is quite simple.

The chassis of the car is negative and connected directly to the negative terminal of the battery.

From the ignition key barrel there will be a wire that will go positive when the ignition is switched on, find this in the engine compartment with a 12v bulb or multimeter. This needs to go directly to the + terminal on the coil pack. The negative terminal of the coil pack is connected to the points in the distributor. Each time the points close in the distributor it sends the power for the spark through the high tension leads from the coil through the distributor to the spark plugs.

Hope this helps a bit.
