Any trustworthy 126 exporters?

Hi all!

As you may have seen in the intro thread, I am your new Canadian recruit

Purchasing a 126 is a ways off for me yet as I am a recent uni grad and I am still looking for a place to live of my own, plus a full-time job, but I thought I would join here to see if anybody could help me with how I might go about exporting a 126 to Canada!

I have a friend on a different forum who suggested there was a fair following of 126 owners in the UK and that it would be easier to purchase one in good shape there rather than in Poland (the language barrier being one issue).

Are there any folks here, or reputable companies that find cars in good shape for folks in Poland help them do export/import their ride to the UK or Europe (Or in my case, wouldn't mind helping ship mine to Canada!) when the time comes for me to begin my search?

My biggest issue is that I can't easily come over to look at cars in person to know if they are lemons or not, so having somebody trustworthy who could find or look at them for me would be a big plus! Either that, or buy one from somebody who already has it in the UK! What's the going rate for a decent ELX in the UK anyway?

polish cars are crap , uk cars are crap . that,s that answered lol . fiat rust . if you want to get one get one restored , with pics to prove , if its some where close to a member its easy to get it checked , but does the member no what there looking at , has it a gb  mot , VERY DODGEY  not worth the paper its written on , chancey , welding , half hearted,bluffed work .etc etc . so a well restored car is worth its weight in gold ,

Is Canada right hand drive or left hand drive?

I think LHD's are more readily available.

LHD over here in Canada. I'd prefer LHD as insurance is much easier to obtain for LHD cars!

@Shielsy - I'm aware they rust, but there are a few trustworthy exporters out there I would think? I would be fine with purchasing a car from Forum member as you folks would be trustworthy, I would hope!

What does a restored 126 go for price-wise?
