fire engine conversion

hi guys new to this site so please go easy on me lol. ive recently bought 2 fiat 126 1988 bis wohoo my plans are to restore both 1 to be originall and 1 i am wanting to do the fire engine conversion seen on ebay you can buy the adapter plate and engine mounting plate that you weld just struggling on how the to match the ring gear up and which clutch you would use ive sort of heard you buy a spigot adaptor but carnt find 1 any wer any help would massively appeciated thanks rich

I think the fire engine conversion is for the aircooled 126s where the engine sits upright.
Don't think it would work in a Bis, where the engine lays on its side.

I think that Bambino 126 is correct however if you swap the Bis bell housing for an air cooled which is a straight bolt on job the adapter plate should fit

yer i spoke to someone who sells adaptor plates for the conversion he said its been done just need to modify the engine mounts which aint a problem the problem i have is finding the ring gear adapter for the box and as rusty says u take bellhousing from air cooled and bolt onto bis gearbox thanks for the replies will start to post pics of the resto (needs a lot of welding) lol not sure weather to put wide body on it or not any ideas thanks rich
