early 126 front inner wheel arch replacement
« on: February 24, 2016, 06:27:31 AM »
Hi,
Currently restoring at late 1970s 126 and come across a challenge.  Fitting a new inner wheel arch, the outer section that joins the wing, together with a new 1st series wing.  The inner wheel arch panel appears to be too wide, ie would extend out like wider arch. Does anyone know if there are different inner wheel arches for early 126s or is there something I'm missing that could be wrong? Thanks. Mat

Hi mat yes there is. They made the wings slightly larger on later models to accommodate 13" wheels so the outer section of the inner arch would be bigger to fill the gap.

Ah great thank you, so I'm not going mad. Any idea where I can buy a earlier inner arch panel?

Thanks

Mat
