Whatever you use, don't use OAT antifreeze [organic].

Make sure you use the older spec antifreeze....Comma is good, and Eurocarparts had an offer on concentrated  antifreeze....works out better as one can mix up one's own to suit.

To be a bit left-field, It appears Rolls-Royce [used to] use Fernox antifreeze....Alphi-11, to be precise.

Must be good stuff, it's for central heating systems, fit-and-forget?  The main thing about Alphi-11 is that it is suitable for use in systems containing all sorts of different metals, etc.

The waterless coolants are apparently good too...but expensive, as the  cost has to include special cooling system flushing fluid too.

Thanks for your advise on antifreeze, I think I will be using the non OAT type. As for the water-lees one that's going to be very pricey if I want to flush the system every couple of years.
 Many thanks
