If anyone in the Surrey/Sussex/Kent area is looking for a first outing of the year, you may want to consider coming over to Riverview, in Forest Row, East Sussex, on the A22 about half way between London and the coast (Old Station Yard for map readers, RH18 5DW for sat navvers).
It's a regular monthly meet, second Sunday of the month, all year round - can get a bit damp in November and chilly until March, but the sun always shines (!) and there has never been a time when *no-one* has turned up.
It's a very friendly, gentle meeting, started over 5 years ago, by Pete Sonneveld who runs a gorgeous red Fiat 500 (L, I think - I really ought to know that!) and more recently a restored (largely by him) London Routemaster bus - so not much difference *there*, then!
Refreshments are provided by the cafe, there's no membership as such, no fee or registration, just come along, browse the cars, have a chat, lunch and a cuppa.
I am usually there to marshal, so if you see an old fart in a bright yellow coat yelling "you can't park there!" it'll be me. In all the time I've been going, I cannot recall ever having seen a 126 there (except my CC Zero) but we've had quite a few 500-based gems, like Gamines.
