heater matrix pipe
« on: December 05, 2015, 08:36:16 PM »
On the bis heater matrix, is it the top pipe thats the return?
Reason i ask is i've ordered an in line bleed valve that you place in the return line as my normal bleed valve is leaking so is probably drawing air back in too.

On the bleed tube the nylon screw plug should have an "O" ring on which seals the plug, when i bleed mine i undo the tube from the heater box, hold it as low as possible till i get a flow through it also if you increase the tick over to a fast idle that helps because there isn't allot of flow on tick over, If you still want to put a bleed valve on, it needs to be fitted at the highest point on the top hose that goes to the top of the matrix as this is where you get airlocks, just like bleeding the radiators at home :D
