rear engine mount (the sprung one)
« on: April 01, 2015, 04:42:06 PM »
Hi all.
do all the fiats use the same rear engine mounts, ive changed the front gearbox ones and its much better and looking at the state of them i guess the engine sprung one wont be much better so i want to change it.

Its this the set i need for my bis please?

Well i bought a new mount.
Its not quite the same but it fits and it has reduced the vibration.  It looks like the bis has a larger top rubber as it has a metal plate on the spring but with the new rubber i had to remove this.

How did you go on with the air cooled mount on the Bis in the end?

I've got to sort mine out. BOO! :(

It did fit but the top rubber is a little smaller and i had to leave out the metal plate out but it did the job. I never found anyone listing one for the bis but somebody must do  :headscratch:

I've not found anywhere that sells them. :(

Thanks for that.
Mine pinged off after the thread stripped and I think I lost part of the rubber judging by the clunking I get in reverse and over bumps.

Think I'll order one and give it a whirl.
