Not sure if many people on here are from the north east, but I thought it would be worth mentioning. The show is on the 2nd Wednesday of every month starting in April and ending in October, and starts around 6pm. It is not an official event, rather an organised meet up in a car park.
The first show of this year is on April 11th. The show is held in the car parks of Toys 'R' Us, McDonalds and Pizza Hut next to the Metrocentre, so there's choice of food and if anyone gets bored you can do some evening shopping at the Metrocentre. There's usually a really decent turnout providing the weather is dry, and there is a whole host of different cars. There's American cars, hot and street rods, classic cars, rare cars, unique cars and the odd high performance car. Unfortunately the north east doesn't have an abundance of 126's, and I'm sure when mine makes its first appearance it will be the only one. Last October an original Fiat 500 turned up so I'm hoping that will be there again.
Definitely worth taking a look at if you live nearby, and I will post some pictures after the show
