lol yes your right Nathan but sadly the classic car market will never live up trully to our expectations of value, as the BIS will never trully be considered a  classic unlike its aircooled counterpart is becoming recognised.

cheers Doug

well who knows...I'd gladly pay the price for a good BIS or aircooled...theyre both 126's and have their good points.

at the end of the day, who pays the price for a good fiat except an enthusiast?

I paid £700 for my BIS, yeah ott, but i espect it's far better than any other than other £700 fiats :S

Im on both sides of this one, i love all 126's  :D

Just voicing my opinions  :D

hello all my two pennies worth coming .....jorges car is without doubt the best bis i have seen, it has undergone a complete restoration . it is not a dry stored car , it has a better quality paint for starters (without the age) . every aspect of this car is spot on . if 2k is overpriced in some peoples eyes then thats fine but it really is worth that sort of money because of the amount and quality of work that has gone into the resto job.
get down to london and check ol jorges motor out its a cracker!!!!

Ive had to bite my lip over this car for absolutley ages but im afraid i cant any more. I sold this car to Jorge on E-Bay as I dont know if anyone remembers but ive replaced it with a 9000 mile aircooled that im still currently restoring.
This car never had a full restoration or anything like it. Inside was immaculate, as was underneath and body wise it had a few scabs on it, but it was in excellent condition. Mechanically the car was very good and with the help of some fantastic members on here they helped get her running lovely. I bought a carb off of a member on here and I still remember the posts about how nice the carb looked after I rebuilt it. Jorge paid £300 for it on e-bay and was so unhappy with it (After inspecting it for well over an hour before taking it) he threatened lots of things (I think some people may remember the posts I put on here at the time about it). I was called a liar, a dealer and a con man.
Yes he did have the car resprayed, but it didnt need the all the resto work that has been described.
The car is lovely and im not the best placed to say if it is worth £2000 or not but it certainly isnt that far a car from when I sold it to him for pennies.

Im sorry if this post has offended anyone, but I was treated terrible by the new owner and I just couldnt stay quiet any longer. Ive even stayed away from posting on here even though the aircooled resto is coming along lovely as i felt i may of said something sooner.   Sorry.

well thats a matter for you and jorge to be honest, but you should see the photos of the work undertaken and know what parts have been replaced etc. i do as i have been shown by jorge when i have paid him a visit. if jorge paid 300spots and now wants 2bricks thats up to him really, its his car . anyhow hope the aircooler is coming along fine and see you when your up and running .

Hi Mr Darren,
First of all I never said that you were a con but yes a liar and you are still a LIAR to me because £300.00 wasn`t the money I have paid for the car, DON`T YOU KNOW HOW MUCH I PAID FOR  IT?
you have described the car on Ebay differently from the way you have put on the club forum and yes I did look at the car because somehow it did not look so good as you have mencioned.
You said the car had a few problems that they were suposed to be easily done but  you forgot to mencioned these:
- FRONT VALANCE ROTTEN, I NEARLY LOSE THE SPARE TYRE ON MY       WAY HOME.
-GEARBOX MOUNTINGS DAMAGE, REPLACED
-CENTRIFUGAL OIL FILTER NEVER CLEANED
-HEADLIGHTS NOT WORKING PROPELY
-HEADLIGHTS SORRUNDINGS ( BODY ) ROTTEN
-AMOUNT OF PARTS REPLACED THAT MICK KINDLY GAVE IT TO ME
-AMOUNT OF PARTS REPLACED THAT I HAVE BOUGHT MYSELF ( RECEIPTS )
-BODY WISE IN FAIRLY GOOD CONDITION BUT FAR WAY FROM PERFECT
-REAR LEFT SPRING RUSTY
- AND MUCH MORE
-SOME OF THESE THINGS WERE MENCIONED ON YOUR LAST MOT CERTIFICATE AS I WENT INTO DVLA DATABASE AND SAW.
If you want I will send you some pictures of the work done and the money I have spent on it.

You also just mencioned in your post this " ISN`T THAT FAR A CAR FROM WHEN I SOLD IT TO HIM FOR PENNIS "

  You must be joking or you have been drinking GRAPPA or probably you need to go to check your eyes.

Here is the invoice for your item, jorge4305

Hi Paul,
thanks for your message, I was very sad to see the comments made by darren, he was the one who started posting in the club forum messages about myself well before i knew the club existed. that`s why i got angry, he doesn`t know me from anywhere and shouldn`t talk about me , it was a private matter and it should be keept that way. I know i bought it from ebay but we are not obliged to buy if items are not as described. After one year i think it was a very unfortunate comment, he has not seen the car , how come he says it looks more or less the same, I am wondering why he took so long to post this message or he could have send me a private message.
I don`t want anyone taking sides but I couldn`t just ignore the comments and be silent.
That`s very sad.
Thanks
Jorge

Hi Nathan
You are right but since this gentleman came into the forum , he probably think he knows everything and others are a bunch of stupid people who don`t know anything about cars
That`s all I have to say and case closed.
Thanks
