Ok ,so which wheels to use. On the 500 Ive nearly finished the car is on jacks at present. The 4 hubs are 126 hubs,as opposed to 500 , with the 98mm PCD. However the backspacing on 126 hubs is 95mms and on the 500 wheels,(standared ones) it is 85mm. But now I have 4 x adapter plates which effectively allow the 126 hubs to recieve the 500 wheels (with the silly PCD).
So, by turning the adapter plates, (which are 10mm thick), the other way and bolt them to the hubs , (by doing this they step back a bit by 3mm) I should achieve the desired result, which is 145`s on the 500 rims, inside arches that have been rolled inward to recieve the slightly wider tyres. Well., thats the theory anyway. Mike.
