Thanks- in fairness they did look a bit rubbish the first time I did it...
one resprayed and another arrives- double trouble BIS style!!

Not this time! I have some actual strong gasket material now. I do like using cereal box though!!

Thanks Marc- I think much the same about yours- only you will be finished way before me-! But I soldier on- today I had a second crack at my bumper flushed indicators- ( universally panned the first time I postedm them) I've moved them more inboard now so the sit under the headlights ( which is a pain cos the now sit in front of the bumper mounts) now I need to make some mounts and sand them smooth so I can get the bumpers powder coated to match my bonnet!


Sweet move on the indicators mate, alot of VWs did this in the late 80s/early 90s. I did it to my VW fastback.

'84 aircooled 126 & 500F still in kit form
Not the only African in the village :)

Pretty much finished refit, but aswell as breaking the windscreen I have also chipped the new paint now!!
Had a lil 126 visitor yesterday who stopped by for a chat.......you know who you are? He is still laughing from seeing my car!!

Took "lil rod" to a good mechanic to sort brakes, and MOT! Then its the next step?

Took the window drain plugs that Chris DeVille and Ladislav sent me to my mechanic chappy so he can complete my restoration...fingers crossed if we can do the MoT it could be ready for this weekend!  The moral of the tale is don't throw anything away, especially if you are breaking a car, these little things would have been impossible to find/buy without the help of 2 super club members and without them we'd have had to fabricate something which would have been pants!   ;D
