That's good news.
Did it fix the problem?
I'll have to do that too as I still need one I think.

The problem I have is the wipers don't "park" at the bottom of the screen.
On intermittent wipe they do a single wipe and stop in the vertical position rather than horizontal.
On full speed they work fine, but when you turn them off they stop literally wherever they happen to be.

Are those the symptoms you had?

Yes it fixed mine but my problem was i had no intermittent at all, it did nothing.

Ive had a similar problem to yours but that was on an old landrover and i fixed that.
It turned out to be the wiper motor. i opened it up and inside was 2 contact legs that are meant to touch the inside ring, one had worn away and after i bent and re shaped it so that when i put it back together it touched the contact ring then it worked perfect after  :)

This picture might help explain, its not a fiat motor but the ideas probably the same

Also an easy way to find out if its your relay or motor is to remove the ra23 relay and try the wipers on normal speed, they should would and park as normal, they just wont do anything on the first intermittent  setting  :)

Thanks Mintex
Just tried pulling the relay - you lose intemittant altogether but no change to the "park" problem.
So the problem must be inside the motor itself just like in your diagram.

I'll take it apart and try to find the fault.
Cheers

Mintex - What a great tip!

Took the wiper motor out and inside were two contacts just like you said, and one of them was bent. The plastic surounding it had melted for some reason. I simply bent them back into the correct position and re-fitted it. Now the wipers "park" in the correct position both for intemittant and when you switch them off from full speed.

Now that "intermittant wipe" is actually working for the first time on my car I notice that the delay between wipes is quite long.
I've timed it at 40 seconds.
Which component controls the wiper delay?
I would like it more like 10 seconds.

Usually there is a small electronic circuit board in the relay?
