Warm welcome from Scotland
« on: July 16, 2014, 07:36:42 PM »
Hello everyone!

I wanted to introduce myself, and my Fiat 126 (called Frank by my kids :D)

I was after one of those for ages, but since I could not find any near me, it took a while to find one.

Anyway, with a bit of luck I've found one just 20 miles from where  I live. And I must admit, really scored with this one. Completely resprayed and with rebuilt engine. It's a 1990 polish import, 652cc aircooled.
It was kept in a garage for the last two years, so few things needed to be done.
Failed MOT (obviously), but only on brakes, wheel bearing, some lights (being polish, it needed switching reverse, and rear fog light). Took me 2 months to organize parts, and fit them, but it passed flawlessly second time.
Currently I'm waiting for registration plates, so hopefully should be on the road within two weeks.

Anyway, here's couple of pictures:

My wife cannot wait to take it for a spin, as it brings memories to her, she passed her driving test in one of those.

All the best for everyone.

Adam

Hi, it would be nice to meet upwith another 126 in Scotland.  I have to admit I would have meet with my Gamine as my 126 is being restored at the moment.
